Three Men Arrested for Assaulting Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine in Florida Gym

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was assaulted earlier this month in an LA Fitness gym in Lake Worth, Florida. Three men, Rafael Medina Jr., Octavious Medina, and Anthony Maldonado, were arrested on Thursday on robbery and assault charges in connection with the incident.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the men beat the 26-year-old rapper while a cellphone video shows two men descending on Hernandez while he was trying to defend himself on the floor of the gym’s sauna area. Hernandez was hospitalized with cuts and bruises after the attack. The perpetrators fled after the employees heard the disturbance and alerted the police.

The site TMZ posted pictures of Hernandez’s swollen face, reporting that he also suffered injuries to his back, ribs, and jaw. Lawyer Lance Lazzaro, who spoke to TMZ, claimed that Hernandez did not have any security with him when several men attacked him without warning.

In the video, a man can be heard saying, “take a picture, I’m gonna be famous now,” while grabbing Hernandez by the hair as another man kicked him.
